31st May, 2017 – World No Tobacco Day

World No Tobacco Day is an annual campaign by the World Health Organisation (WHO) held on the 31st of May each year. The campaign aims to draw attention to the dangers of tobacco and encourage governments as well as the public, both users of tobacco and not, to confront the global tobacco crisis.

Macular Degeneration Awareness Week

May 21-May 27 is Macular Degeneration awareness week for 2017. It is a great opportunity for us to increase our understanding of the disease and how best to combat it.

Macular Degeneration is Australia’s leading cause of blindness and severe vision loss. It affects approximately 1 in 7 Australians over the age of 50.
